SERVE THE CHURCH
OPPORTUNITIES TO SERVE
“While it is daytime, we must continue doing the work of the One who sent me. The night is coming when no one can work.” John 9:4
In ancient times little to no work was done at night.
Most people worked outdoors and depended on sunlight. When the sun went down, you had to stop working. Jesus is sharing the urgency of the work that God gives us. If you are a Christian, God has prepared work in advance for you to do. You shouldn’t put it off, but start doing it while you still can.
Many people are waiting until it is convenient to serve God or until they are “ready.” But if you wait for perfect contentions to serve, then you will wind up wasting your life and missing out on the blessings of being used by God.
There is going to be a day when your time has run out.
When you die, you can no longer serve God on this earth, but there are certain seasons and opportunities in life that you will miss if you don’t seize.

It’s a Way of Obeying God’s Command
Hebrew 2:12 He says, “I will declare your name to my brothers and sisters; in the assembly I will sing your praises.”
---------
The trumpeters and musicians joined in unison to give praise and thanks to the LORD. Accompanied by trumpets, cymbals and other instruments, the singers raised their voices in praise to the LORD and sang: “He is good; his love endures forever.” Then the temple of the LORD was filled with the cloud. 2 CHRONICLES 5:13 (NIV)
Church music ministry is profoundly biblical. If you didn’t know, now you do. There’re several verses in the bible that attest to God’s instructions to believers concerning music. In Paul’s Gospel to the Colossians in Col 3:16, he wrote, “Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly, teaching and admonishing one another in all wisdom, singing psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, with thankfulness in your hearts to God.” Something similar is also shown in Ephesians 5:19, which says, “Speaking to yourselves in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing and making melody in your heart to the Lord.” These two verses show that God wants us to sing and make music in his name.

"VOLUNTEER TO BE A VITAL PART WITH A BIGGER PICTURE "
Church media helps to emphasize the gospel.
Communication takes place on many different levels. When your pastor preaches, he is using his voice to speak words. He is using his body to make gestures to emphasize those words. Perhaps he is backed by a stage design that further emphasizes his message. Also, he may be using videos, pictures, printed words, or PowerPoint to drive the point home even further. Each level of communication serves to inform, emphasize, and even enhance his message. A great-looking PowerPoint design gives the pastor the ability to communicate his message — the gospel — even more clearly. When people receive information in more than one way, they tend to remember it better. The more senses that are involved, the better. So, if a spoken sermon uses visual aids — such as a PowerPoint, object lessons, or something else — the message is likely going to stick in the hearer’s mind a lot better. Register
